Privacy Policy

I Remember gives families a private place to honor and remember the people they love. We know the photos and memories you entrust to us are precious. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have.

1. Who we are

The I Remember app and the website iremember.place are operated by I Remember Memorials LLC ("we", "us"). For any privacy question, contact support@iremember.place.

2. What we collect

• Account information: the email address and name you register with, and an optional profile photo.
• Content you add: the photos, videos, written memories, life stories, tributes, and comments you place in a memorial, along with remembrance gestures such as candles and flowers.
• Technical information: if the app crashes, we receive a crash report through Sentry (device model, OS version, and the error) used solely to fix the problem. We do not use advertising trackers and we do not collect your location.

3. How we use it

• To provide the service itself: storing your content and syncing it with the family members you invite.
• To send account emails: registration verification and password resets (sent from noreply@email.iremember.place).
• To diagnose and fix app problems.

We never sell your personal information, and your content is never used for advertising.

4. Who can see your content

I Remember is invitation-only. Every memorial is private — its content is visible only to the family and friends invited into that memorial. Our team does not browse your content, except when handling a report of inappropriate content or when required by law.

5. Where it is stored

Your data is stored with Google Firebase (a cloud service by Google LLC) on servers in the United States, encrypted in transit. Crash reports are processed by Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.). These providers process data only on our behalf.

6. Your rights and choices

• You can view, edit, or delete your own content in the app at any time.
• You can delete your account in the app's account settings, or by emailing support@iremember.place.
• When your account is deleted, your account and profile are permanently removed. Memories you shared in memorials remain with the family; if you want those removed too, delete them in the app first or contact us and we will help.

7. Children's privacy

The service is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email. The current version is always published on this page.
